DC Pre-Inauguration
Tim and I got back from our hectic trip to NYC on the 18th. We were up early the next day to go to DC to see the pre-inauguration preparations. In much warmer weather we were prepared. With fresh new batteries and newly formated cards, we hit DC with renewed energy. Here are some photos with captions explaining the story of the day.
The plan was to take the metro, but we were met with a massive queue just to buy the tickets…so on to plan B…driving into DC and finding free parking. (Tim on the right man handling my camera bag.)
Once we got to DC, we were not overwhelmed by the crowd but more by the amount of Obama merchandising. Buttons, T-shirts, ties, bags…anything you can think of!
Someone was selling the Washington Post from November 5th (day after elections) for $10 each.
Patriotism in Domes
Everyone is getting in on Obamania…even Pepsi (SHAMEFUL)
Crazy religous nutter….he put obama, marilyn monroe and hitler in one sentence….nuff said
This day around DC did not prepare us at all for what we were about to face on Inauguration Day….Obamania to the max!!!
