Just finishing up the photos from the shoot with Melissa.  These photos are follow ups to the first and second part of the photoshoot.   For more information on the photoshoots, please read the previous posts….here are just a few more photos.

Fabulous makeup by Salsabil.

More mirror play.

I think it would be fantastic to put the last two photos together side by side to get Melissa’s different looks.  Anyways that’s it for now…it’s getting late.

ps: again, a big thanks to everyone involved: Fortunately, Melissa (model)Sherritta (hairstylist), Salsabil (MUA), Natasha (Stylist) and Diallo (Designer).

  • Feeling critical… so I’m going to pick holes! Hopefully you’re like me and actually find criticism more interesting than praise :P

Photo 1 and 3 (and 5 a bit) you need more shadow definition under Melissa’s chin. Because its stretched out and evenly lit you’ve lost the shape and it looks like she has a puffed out neck. In the other shots because the definition is there you can see she has awesome fine bone structure.

Photo 2, because the main focal point is her eyes in the mirror the rest of the photo gets lost and becomes dead space. As her head is dead side on you have a lot of harshly lit hair line around her ear. Might have been less distracting with that loose strand of hair tucked behind the ear? With that in mind photo 4 is a far better crop… but, it doesn’t have the eye contact of 2. Also I really like the hands in photo 2… awesome little detail.

It might be a nice idea to flip the second last photo and place it to the right of the last as a pseudo mirror effect. Gives a kinda cool look!
