MIRZA MPERIAL Photos (pt-1)
Posted under: These are the snaps from my shoot with designer Taimur of MIRZA MPERIAL about a month back. These are designs of his debut evening wear line. The shots were taken in the St. Regis in Washington DC. The hair was done by Patricia, make up by Ayesha, and lighting assistant Tru. For Part 2 of the photos, click here.
We photographed 4 outfits that day in a busy 3 hrs. The first of the outfit to be covered in the blog will be the long white dress modeled by missy.

Believe it or not, the shot above and the one at the very top were actually taken in a quite brightly sunshine lit lobby of the hotel. I had to use the flash to over power the ambient lighting. Missy just pulls off such stunning expressions.
Again using a single Octobox and SB900 high up on full power and dropping the background completely. You can just see the floor to ceiling windows in the back.
Single light and high up. Simple business. When shooting on location, it is often very very difficult and painful to fiddle with all the different lights. So as always remember KISS (keep it simple, stupid).
Just to change things up a bit, I liked the idea of shooting through the glass door to give a bit of a voyeuristic feel. Note to self, future times clean the window before shooting through it! More to come!

I always thought Missy had that special quality, but seeing her mature now compared to then…Wow! She just keeps producing. Watch out world; she’s coming quick.
