Photoshoot: Ekaterina and Carol

Just catching up with all my photoshoots. Last week I got together with Warren, one of my favourite make up artists in the area. We were working with two models, Ekaterina from T.H.E. and Carol. This shoot was mainly focused on natural beauty portraitures for both of Warren and mine portfolios. Here is a first of Ekaterina, who is half russian and half cuban. Talk about exotic.

With these first two I stuck with a beauty dish high up with my own modified boom substitute and also a background throw for the backdrop to create the gradient and subtle highlight in hair.
After the first set of natural looks, Warren upped his magic and started with a gold glow for Ekaterina, with full gold make up on top of her tan it worked out brilliantly.
Then we worked with Carol for several quick shots and some close up to really show off the make up.
With Carol it was a bit harder with the lighting as her skin was particularly shiny and caught the light a lot more hence creating big areas of highlights. Even with the beautydish with grid the lgiht was just a tad too hot. So I ended up taking the beautydish a bit further away and also added the ‘sock cover’ from my photec softlighter to soften the light.
Gorgeous lips as well.
