Photoshoot: Meryl Flynn (pt-1)

I had met Meryl at one of the Studio 400 networking parties a few weeks back.  Meryl just moved to the US from Leeds (UK) and we started chatting quite easily.  Finally after a couple of months we finally got to shoot together.  Siccola amazingly was able to come in on a last minute notice for the shoot.  We focused on two simple types of looks, a natural beauty and an edgier higher fashion look.  This post will focus on the natural beauty shots and I try to hone in my studio skills.

With these top shots, I used a single background throw to light up the background and then I used the Softlighter II high camera left to light the Meryl.   I find that the beauty dish still tends to give more shadow and harsher light even with the sock on.    Softlighter is a much gentler light to reduce the moodiness of everything.

And just a peek of the high fashion make up and all.

keep watching this space…more high fashion pics up in tomorrow’s post.
