Photoshoot: Juelles (pt-1)

It’s been awhile since my last blog post, just abotu 3 weeks ago.  Needless to say, I’ve been a bit busy with various shoots, updating websites and also entertaining friends as well.  Anyways, since my last shoot with Mason, I’ve been looking to develop and expand the beauty side of portfolio.  In studio beauty portraits was one area that I was inexperienced in.  As you will see through my next series of shoots that I have focused specifically on this area working with some great models and makeup artists.

The first of the beauty shoots I set up was with Juelles and Kim Gray (MUA).  This was a two part shoot focusing on very clean beauty and seond bit focusing on a concept of mine which will come in a later post.

Juelles has a really unique look, it’s hard to put my finger on it…but this girl stands out.

Kim did a great job with the flawless make up keeping everything smooth and simple.

As for the lighting everythign was quite simple as I used a background throw to get the background completely white.  Juelles was sitting quite close to the background hence the white rim lighting from the backdrop.   I used the Softlighter as the main light…very simple and such a beautiful soft light source.
