Photoshoot: Oxana Fashion (pt-2)

Oct 14, 2009 by     No Comments    Posted under: Lighting Setups, Photoshoot Recap

Finally a little break to catch up with photo blogs.  A lot of the photos have been put up on my port, it’s a matter of blogging about the team and the lighting setup etc.

This is part two of the shoot with Oxana who is signing with Major.   Dana Delaney came on board for the makeup and did a fabulous job doing the natural and also high fashion makeup.  Oxana styled her wardrobe herself which all worked out rather slickly.  Here we’ve included two looks in front of the white and grey.

Oxana is quite a natural moving from pose to pose with minimal direction.  Sometimes I thought I gave too much direction.  Dana also did a great upwards pony tail for this look.

As for the lighting for these lighter backgrounds, Oxana was standing close to the background.  I used a single AB800 with big softbox with only one layer of front filtering (rather than 2), on camera high right.  Then a single AB800 with gridded beauty dish aimed at Oxana’s face high camera left.

We also worked with some denim shots.  These were done with a single AB800 on beauty dish high up aimed downward to camera left.   A AB800 to camera right with softbox down low aimed at the background to get the gentle gradient.

Oxana can really pull off the different looks and poses.  She’s got a lot ahead of her.  Hope for the best.  More to come.  Watch this space.
