NEW Workshop This Sunday in DC

Hey everyone.  I’m a bit late to post this, but I’m giving a brand new workshop this Sunday at the DC Photo Coop / Carriage House.

It’s a new style of fashion photography workshop that focuses more on the stuff you can’t learn from the books, ie the less technical areas which are not often covered in workshops.    I’ve developed a new curriculum for the full day event.   The topics include but are not limited to:

  • what to look for in a model, a mua, hair stylist, wardrobe stylist?
  • prepping the team for the shot
  • budgeting shooting time and expenses
  • interacting with the model to pull the best look
  • giving directions and instructions
  • poses which work and what to watch out for
  • picking the final photograph, how to go from 100 to 1.

There will be some limited live shooting and demonstration as well with a professional model, the photographs will be evaluted and detailed feedback will be given in a second part of the workshop detailing what to look for in preparation for post processing work.  Also we will cover briefly what to edit in your post processing.

I’m really excited about the workshop.  Hope to see you all there.
